Overlapping Mintmarks
Definition:
Three repunched mintmarks that show overlapping mintmarks of equal or near equal strength or shown to the right. The first image to the right shows a 1910-S Lincoln cent with a very strong S mintmark to the North and overlapped by the primary S mintmark. Photograph by Bob Piazza for Coppercoins.
